I’m happy to say that I got to work on Gears 5 at Splash Damage.

Similar to Gears 4 DLC each technical artist was assigned a specific map however we would help out on different maps when the need arose. The main maps I focused on were District, Exhibit, Icebound, Vasgar as shown in the slideshow above and the new Game Mode Escape. You can see more of these levels and escape in this video.

My roles involved Optimization and Performance maintenance, improving current materials and creating new ones, as well as implementing new blueprint systems. On top of this I also helped implement and set up new art focused technical improvements.

Outside of the specific levels I also was involved in creating Python tools and Perforce maintenance.
